Has anyone found out what they say about milage for sure?[Hagerty], NWYENKO said 2500, that is not what i recall, that would have been great, I am pretty sure it was around 150 a year, and that was going to shows/parades or in and out of the traler, it didnt work for the guy that wanted to drive his car around town, and park and lock it up once in awhile,at least that is how I recall the phone conversation going, does anyone have there Number handy? I will call in the morning and get the facts from Hagerty.

If I may be allowed to retort. AS A OWNER of cars who does not drive them. I use Haggerty and have been very very superbly happy for over 5 years. Never 1 problem or concern. Was fully educated when I sold a COPO car to a enthusiast in Europe. You may contact Haggerty on their website or you can call them at: 800-922-4050 ask for my rep Teresa Leach and feel free to use my name! I love the agreed value. No surprises when something does happen!

Kevin, Haggerty ALL the Way. I switched from American Car Collectors as they would not even insure my ZL-1 for $80,000---THEN the Last Straw was when I bought my MOTION Camaro they wanted the Original Window Sticker--they said Mr. Joel Rosen's Letter meant Nothing to them.. I also posted this subject on the board and alot of the guys said Haggerty - I called them and NO PROBLEMS--NO APPRAISALS were needed. I have them insured for what I feel they are worth and they never questioned anything. They were Very Professional and made several calls to me to get my Business.. Kevin, I spent a few years with American Collectors but switched three years ago to Hagerty, never regreted it even once. I have a 2500 mile range per year on my cars. Never had a claim but they have always been helpful when calling additions or deductions from my policy.I feel their rates are very competitive also.

I tried to get Hagerty for my cars, but had a speeding ticket in the last 3 years and they wouldn't cover me. I ended up going with Grundy and had no problems. Cost was the same as Hagerty and no problems over values. I have heard good things about both companies.

I have used AMERICAN COLLECTORS for over 16 years now. On all my classic Chevelles, driven and trailered cars. AND...this is the part we just can't forget.... CLAIMS.

I have, unfortunately had a few claims, some big, some small, but all were taken care of without even a blink of an eye...not even a single question about replacing parts with NOS at any price...they had a claims adjuster out within two days, claims were usually written, dare I say...higher than expected and I was told...just get what you need and submit the receipt....So that's what I did, and always got the check in a timely manner. I think too many people forget that it's all about filing a claim, who cares if they allow you XYZ mileage or if they are $50 cheaper on their quote than the next guy...if they don't take care of you when you need them. Now, I am not saying Haggerty or any of the others don't do this....but just reminding people that it is very important to get feedback from owners who have had to file claims.

Just my 3 cents ( inflation )

Mike

My situation is that my American Collectors policy required an appraisal, which cost more than the first years premium. Now, the car has gone up in value enough that I need to increase my agreed value, (currently at $36k). However, I paid the annual premium in full last August, and I don't really want to go through the hassle and expense of another appraisal to get the increased coverage. I also don't want to go through the spring and summer with the agreed value being too low, and don't want to forfeit the prepaid insurance coverage by switching to Hagerty. What to do?
