There was a hugger orange Copo in the gold class at Super Chevy at National Trails Raceway in Kirkersville(outside of Columbus)Ohio last weekend. Could this be the car you are discussing? SWEET, shinny new trim tag. Talked to the owner just a few minutes. Big guy, 6'6 maybe. He said the car was in pieces when he got it. To me, the trim tag looked to be repo. I brought that to his attention and his reply was that he had it replaced because the original was damaged but all the info was correct on the tag.

This may have been the same guy that I talked to at SC Joliet IL. Also a Gold Class Hugger Orange COPO. Did the car have orange wheel wells? If it was the same car the trim tag had no paint on it at all. I took several pictures of this car. The guy was big and said that he was from Louisiana. When I asked him if he was a member of this site he said NO! and walked away from me. Just like that. This world and hobby is to small for rudeness.

The Hugger Camaro in Super Chevy seems to have Orange painted wheel wells. Is the car data based in the Super Car Registry?

Yes, i think this is the same guy. Wore a large brim hat. I think the rear inner fenders were painted. Did you noticed the curved neck radiator? It looked to me that he added the curved neck to the standard neck! It was sticking way out past the shroud. Tried to view the NC8 plate , could not see it without crawling up under the vehical. The exhaust hangers on the car were aftermarket that were mounted on the outside of the frame rails, Like i said, my conversation was breif with the owner. The trim tag looked repo and he confirmed it after telling him why i seen it as such.I did not want to upset the guy, I played it as he got taken by the previous owner on a repo tag. I seen all the stampings all in perfect line with the same depth ( complete tag stamped at once) GM did not do this. On a real tag, ST ,NOR, BDY, TR,PNT.look to have a deeper punch than the other #. The 12437 and fisher body # do not line up evenly on the tag with ST, NOR, BDY. Shows that a gm trim tag went through 2 diff. stamping process. It could be a real copo, Im not saying its fake. Maybe all the info is correct on the repo tag. He said it was....

If I am not mistaking this car is the one that is featured in the Dec 02 issue of Super Chevy. I actually have to look at the mag tonight. My father called me and said that he thinks that this is the one.

Sorry I just reread the post! I think this was already mentioned.
