Just to tell you all a bit more about the car. The car was bought by a local Kansas City Mo. man. It was sold out of Bill Allen Chevrolet in the same town. It never left. It has 11,000 miles and is all original including the original A/P mags and H-70-14 Delta high performance tires. It was the only 500 HP dual 4 Chevelle sold, and only one of two with the A&A glass hood. It has a Sun tach Stewart Warner rack, Air bag and drag shocks in the rear, Jardine headers, special badging and front paint stripe. The heads were upgraded to L/88 spec. The car was 6011.00$ new. The car has all papers including POP, Bill Allen paperwork, Harrell paperwork, canceled checks, original title etc. It was the photo car in the July 68 SS&DI road test on the Harrell Camaro and Chevelle. Harrell is standing beside it. It is one of only five 427 Chevelles built. It has factory Disc brakes, power steering, vinyl top, consle, with a very rare Concourse deluxe interior. This weekend at the show we met Jack Walker who worked and raced for Harrell in 68/69 and ran the Gibb/Harrell 68 Nova. Remember Vals scrap book from the reunion? What a great guy! He lives in Kansas City and is interested in the reunion. What do you think Tom? He was a great source of Harrell trivia. Thanks for all the interest in the car, It is very ,very, cool and I am glad for Joe...BKH

When we first heard about the car and recieved pictures of it we did not know about the 500 HP option. We had read about that option, but it never came up. We thought it was a four barrell 450 HP car. We were shocked and very pleased to find it was the 500 HP engine option. We later found out it was the only one sold with it. The car is a true mint survivor and is very likley the only one like in the world left. We are trying to locate another one and have had little luck. We have heard of one other, but are unclear about the year...BKH

Congratulations on the great find Joe and Brian. It is amazing that a Supercar like that survived at all and to have only 11,000 miles is fantastic. I like the multiple carburation - Looks cool. Was it ordered as a L78 car?

Awesome Car!! Sounds like Bill Allen Chev. sold a number of Dick Harrell cars. The green/white COPO Dick Harrell Camaro that Kevin recently bought was also purchased from Bill Allen Chev.

Are you bringing this car to ACES Chevell-abration in Goodletsville Tenn.this June? I heard through the grapvine that someone with a 1968 Dick Harrell COPO Chevelle will be attending.I doubt there is another one.
Nice car.
