Thanks boomer, this defines my plate as a repro of the 67-68 version which fits my era.
Also Ken, I am in continued contact with the SIL of the OO of the L79 Malibu. Thank you again for putting me in contact!! After summer distractions wind down I will be updating the family on assembly progress. |

I have a plate like this on my 1965 Impala that I have owned for 51 years. I have seen this plate on Chevy cars that were on display at various car shows back in 1965 according to photos I have seen, so it is genuine. Chevrolet was the number 1 selling car and they invited people to SEE AMERICA’S FIRST!

I ran a repop "Putting You First In A Big Way" on my '68 in the 80's and was planning to have a sign painter modify it to say "Putting You First In A Big Block" but never followed through.
