My Buddy was out there and saw this Nova in person. He texted me photos of it. He said it looked really nice in person with the exception of the obvious issues mentioned above. I was really shocked that it did 70.

Its hard to fathom that someone installed that hood and displayed it in public.

I don't know that I agree. We had a spare hood that I believe was from a '73-74 and we added '67 Chevelle SS hood "bumps" to the center. I think it was a 73-74 because of the emblem holes we filled, but I can't be positive. Anyway, it worked fine, and the hood molding looked normal on a '70.
There might be something else going on with this car, or maybe my hood was a 68-72 hood that someone drilled for the 73-74 emblem? Very possible, as I do not know the origin of the hood, and I didn't really pay attention as to whether holes were drilled or stamped. Last edited by novadude; 01-18-2019 at 05:19 PM. |

My buddy just installed a AMD repro hood on his 68 Nova after hitting a deer and the fit was perfect.

Something way not right. I believe he must have liked the color combo, and some stuff just didn't matter.
