Thanks for the blow-ups Pete! I still can't tell what it is but your mention of a muffler is something I hadn't thought of before. With the pics you posted, I'm pretty confident it's the same sticker....maybe someone will chime in cuz the recognize it.

Through the Gambler Yenko thread, I determined the mysterious black/white sticker is a Doug Nash ProShift sticker (one on the right in the pic). The guy that raced my car in the early '70's had Doug Nash rebuild the M22 so that makes sense. Better yet, I've sourced a pair of originals from a fellow up in Ontario Canada. He has a ton of vintage stickers from the early/mid '70's. I think I'm just down to the one in front of the Edelbrock sticker on the fender. It was suggested earlier in this thread that it might be a NHRA Contestant sticker. Anyone else want to venture a guess?

I found a few pictures showing very similar oval-shaped stickers to the one just forward of your Edelbrock. Just in front of the rear wheel on the Camaro, and on the sail panel of the Dodge.
Agree that it looks like it could be a contestant sticker. That original picture is too indistinct to be sure exactly which, but I reckon you could pick any track, event or year that you know the car competed, and then keep an eye on ebay until one pops up. Good luck!
