I may be wrong..(probably..haha). But, Why do I think I swear that I saw my partial VIN on my 70 Z subframe?? I sold the car a few years ago so cannot double check. I seem to remember the partial VIN stamped on the side of the sub frame toward the rear in letters larger than the VIN on my block... More similar to the Stamped date codes on blocks. Easily visible with car on a lift on a clean subframe. I even remember taking a picture. I just checked the Z I have now which is a 'survivor' but it was under coated when new and I really don't want to scrape the subframe.
Hmmmmm...maybe I'm losing it in my old age ??? Too many cars..frames...VINsss... Haha Last edited by iluv69s; 07-08-2017 at 05:26 AM. |

Chuck, when did the VINs move back to the front pad. In 1971?
My 70 Z had VIN by oil filter..that is 100%. Haha |
