OE stuff is good. Not sure if Subaru's have gotten better, but they had a reputation of going through brakes at a faster than average rate.

My sister would do pads and rotors on her Outback Impreza in under an hour. Even her husband's 2005 WRX- same thing- every 20-30k! They are great cars though and she says she'll be buying another Subaru after she is done with her Infiniti.
