I had two original 68 Hemi Cars. If they were owned and raced and won some good races their stock goes up. If it was hit by mid 70's Tubbing and caged not so high as the stockers. It depends on who campaigned it also. I have seen these cars go for anywhere from $100K raced and tubbed to $150K. Depending on who ran it. Restored and unmolested $250 to $500K and those were famous cars Like Sox and Martin, Dick landy, Gratiot Auto Supply Ron Mancini. You should get ahold of Mark Janecky who runs the registry on these. I hope I spelled his name right. He can give you more insight. Good Luck on The sale.

Just saying what I was told. I know there is tons of paperwork including Galen Govier but I haven't been privy to it yet. I will see the paperwork soon.

1968 PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA HEMI SUPERSTOCK
This is a B029 car as shown in the first characters on the VIN.

This is NOT a re-bodied car. It is the real deal!

Factory built drag car with a CUSTOM RE-BUILT ENGINE by Hensley Performance in Knoxville. TN

Engine Specs:
• 12.5:1 pistons;
• Steel rods;
• Stroker crank with 489 cubic inches;
• Block bored .30 over;
• Iron block;
• Superstock iron heads;
• 780 lift roller cam;
• Magnesium cross ram intake;
• Original superstock carbeurators;
• 800 HP @ approximately 6500RPM (can rev over 7000RPM);
• A&A built transmission (TorqueFlight);
• 4000 stall converter;
• Manual valve body;
• Reverse shift pattern.

Wheels:
• 31x13.5 Mickey Thompson slicks;
• Mickey Thompson front runners.

Paint:
• Black with Matte Black hood;
• Freshly restored and has never been raced since;
• Engine. transmission & rear end are all new;
• Car should easily run 9.30 - 9.50 in the quarter mile;
• Garage Kept by a Non-Smoker.

While it does look nice, I'd hardly call it a "period correct resto" unless the "period" is the '80s - '90s. Always wanted one of these or a Dart, but it seems GM race cars seem to find me, not the other way around. Good luck getting it sold.

OK, I hear you. Anyway you cut it, it is a real BO29 car and pretty nice.
