The stamping looks like many other early april assembly stamps I have observed as well.

A skilled person can make the stampings look like others in the same date range.. Still holding my opinion until a better pic is produced.

You would really have to have a lot of knowledge and a large database of pics to know all the quirks. Some months, some weeks have their own characteristics from each plant.
In the case of this car it would be really nice to see the whole pad.

I don't have a lot of LA vin stamp examples, thats why I am asking. There is the large "2" in the vin sequence in question, which has been seen in the LA stamps. The 7 and D seem very close in the assembly stamp and the lines on the surface may be sanding lines that are not parallel, hard to see. Theres always more to learn, I know I am.

It's not impossible and probably unlikely but I'm of the old "trust but verify" mentality.. I have also not given an opinion; not that it matters as I am not an "expert". |
