Well, its mine now. Might be a story for you to write. A guy walks into my shop that I've never met and says i'm giving you my car on Thursday! Picked it up over the weekend and signed over the title. I still cant answer 100% why but I got it. I'm still in disbelief. I was in such a hurry before he changed his mind I didn't get any pictures of it in his basement. He seemed as if he was in a hurry too. I thought something fishy was going on but don't know what it is if anything but went smooth. Thought things were about to change when his son showed up but he said, "I don't want the car".

Darrell, people love Cobras and Falcons and some like GTs too but I'm one of the weird ones who like the "other" cars. I think you scored.
Can't wait to see the Marti. :-)

Very nice, Darrell. Looks like someone was a bit too excited with the blue and gray paint on the drivetrain, but still hard to argue with someone who gives you a car.
What casting are the heads? D00E-R? I think that's the right code for 429 CJ heads. Police Interceptor would be D20AB or something like that. Can you post some pics of the car's exterior, interior, under hood, trunk?

The heads are not correct, forget the casting # right now but will check it again, need to pull intake and valve covers to look and put correct intake on, but it looks good in my garage the way it is right now! The gray is not paint, the aluminum has just been cleared. no trunk, the gas tank is the trunk, the engine compartment has been sprayed in satin black but needs freshening and the metal work has been done but some needs redone, not too good of a job on some of it but overall is a pretty solid car. Will get more pics later.
