Really, how long ago? I don't recall seeing that one. My friend's neighbor had an Evening Orchid '65 Corsa Turbo sitting untouched in his driveway for many years, but was badly weathered. Would have been a nice one to restore.

We chased down a bit more of the history.
This is a true three owner automobile, not counting us as a dealer. It was purchased new by a retired Air Force, Lieutenant Colonel. He mostly pulled the car behind a motor home. The actual driven mileage was approx 6,000.00 miles. The car was parked in 1976. It was complete with no accidents and no rot and retained most of its original components as well as original drive train. This Corvair was purchased from the Colonel, by a well known Corvair restorer and Corsa executive board member. He completely disassembled the car and restored it, including a drive train rebuild. Not many Corvairs have recieved this level of restoration, attention and care (lots of NOS parts used throughout). He sold the car to a retired GM executive in Arizona and we purchased the car from his wife. We discovered that a copy of the dealer sales invoice exists, along with the original "RL" coded engine and original trim tag with "O" designating the 180 hp Turbo Option.
