Kevin H's Gold '69 Yenko Camaro sold below market because of the circumstances surrounding that sale. It certainly should have no affect on a good '67 Yenko Camaro, very different than the '69 Yenko Camaros in terms or rarity, truly Yenko built, Harrell history, etc. The big buyers for the '67 Yenko of some years back have backed off from record levels. The gold Yenko sale certainly has not had any influence on other good '69 Yenko Camaros such as the one owner car that recently sold privately for more that this Mecum auction '67 Yenko Camaro.

Very FEW if any are breaking the 300k mark on 69 Yenko's Camaro's! What is a 69 Yenko Chevelle worth? Funny when a great Z28 can bring over 100k but COPO's cant bring 150K. Quite a few cars sold after Kevin's car and they fell WAY SHORT!! 67's used to bring 5-600k.. That original one you are talking about was in the 4's at one time. There is NO line going around the parking lot for 69 Yenko Camaro's even in the high 2's.
Like to see how many REAL bidders were on that 67. I would BET one and it was the guy who called me asking me about the car!! Met reserve and it was done!

We sold a Great 1969 Yenko Camaro a few months after the Gold one sold, for $340,000.00 plus the buyers Premium, just as one example.
There will be some very valuable 1967 Dick Harrell built Yenko Camaros, both which were sold new out of Fred Gibb Chevrolet, at MCACN this year. One is a fresh maximum standards Restoration and the other is an incredible Survivor as parked in the early 1980s. Both loaded with paperwork and history. |
