So what you need to do is figure out what you're looking for.

If it's a real 396 car, it must be an SS.

The RS was a trim option, but I for one know a 396 car as an SS, so if someone posted an ad looking for an RS, I would think, &quot;I own an SS, so I know that car is not mine.&quot;

That's true but all I know is the car had rally sport on both sides of the car and r/s on the grill. I know my car came with a 396 and a 12 bolt rear end with a multiple leaf springs disk brakes and the ss hood no power steering or power brakes

I DO REMEMBER THE CAR HAD A SMALL ROUND NORTH SOUTH EAST WEST COMPASS RIGHT ABOVE THE HEAT CONTROL MAYBE IT MIGHT STILL BE THERE IF SOMEONE HAS PANTED THE CAR!!! JUST A THOUGHT

HERE'S FEW PICTURES FOR THE CAR I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR 1968 CAMARO 396 4-SPEED WITH A 8-TRACK ON THE CONSOLE THE WAS SOLD OUT OF ATLANTA IN 1993 TO A GUY I BELIEVE WAS IN THE MILITARY AT THE TIME IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION PLEASE CALL ME AT 770-366-2475 THANKS SHANON
