That is correct -- also, make sure to CAUTION anyone exiting the car to NOT get their leg against the Side Pipes ... especially the Hooker style. That would be one way of spoiling that first date ... LOL The TAZ

That's what i will do that way I know there will be no problems.By the way TAZ my son found a 66 mustang which we bought and it has the old Thrush sidepipes and we burned our legs more than once on them.Thanks everyone for the advice.

I managed to toast both my wife and my sister (on my first date with my wife) with this setup:



I still have all three (the sister, the wife, and the car).

BTW, the mid year Corvette pipes that I am familiar with are a smaller diameter and have a shield over them.
