Do you have a Link? There was a neat discussion on it at FGMCC.com (Fir Gen Monte Carlo Club).

And "ouch" on that wrecked Monte...

Carpet and Seat Belts should be tan, but the previous owner went with black. I'll probably leave them like that.

Hey Rich, Congrats on the Monte!
I think the seat belts are correct. Box 67 on your build sheet is 08.
I have deluxe black in my 4 speed Monte (Box 67 has 07 (I know its not tan))
But,my Monte also had a build sheet for a red over black SS in it.
That car had standard black belts (it has 08 in box 67)
I've also owned 2 other 70 Montes (Gold over tan) and they both had black standard belts on the tan interior.
Hope this helps...Although I'd admit tan deluxe sure would look good.
Also, I sold some interior parts @ 10 years ago to the owner who completed the restoration on your car, if you don't end up with contact info and are interested in it, I still have it.

Thanks, Rick is supposed to get me all of the info from the previous three owners. If that falls thourgh I'll get the info from you. Good to know on the belts, and I'll probably leave the black carpet. Can't wait to get it here, I used to have a project SS454 Monte and it was loads of fun to drive as it was so different.

I've brought the 70 Z28 COPO and the 70 Camaro L78 to MCACN the last two years, maybe this year I'll bring this monte?
