I don't see in the ad where the guy is claiming it to be a FACTORY LS-6 car. He just says it is a real factory BB car and presently has a built LS-6 engine. Strange that he has the GM of Canada paperwork, but he does not post it as he makes a big deal about it in the ad. Don't see anything special about it as far as Motion goes, but would be cool if one of the past owners did work there.

A neat story, but don't think it materially affects the value of the car versus any other non-original 70 Chevelle in similar condition. IMHO, if it was something like Billy Mitchell's personal car and was used by Motion to test out some parts and was featured in some vintage Hi Performance CARS magazines, then it would be something collectable to a Motion enthusiast, but still would not be valued anywhere close to an invoiced Baldwin Motion car.

Spent many yrs "airing" the cars out on Ocean Pkwy as I grew up right near it. Started as a little kid with my Old man needing to "take the car for a good run" later it was the test track for all the hotrods, still is. Beautiful 10 mile stretch of road built in the 20's

What are the chances someone painted a Chevelle with Phase III striping, and it coincidentally turned out to have some Motion connection? Maybe there was an undoccumented story that followed the car and that is what "inspired" the person to paint it this way.

The 5 speed it had and 3.08 gears? I hope the gears were chanced or that Hone-O-Drive will be worthless to use.

A dealer code of 27055 as listed in the ebay ad would equate to Zone 27 Dealer 55 would it not? Zone 27 is New York according to NCRS?
