The track they ran at is an old Swedish airforce runway, built to Nato specs. The shutdown area is 1.5 mile long so he doesn't need to brake at all, just coasting to a stop.

My idea of "roughing it" is staying at a Holiday Inn or Motel 8. Don't even need any unheated accommodations with no dumper or showers.

In 1991 I participated in "One Lap of America". One of the entries was the Fort Wayne In. Fire and rescue dept driving a Suburban 2500 and towing a 22 FT Boston Wahler rescue boat. They never unhooked that trailer, ran the drags with it and all the track events.

This is my idea of Camping!

This is a 1998 28ft widebody. Bought it in 2008. Lots of fun!

Here's how we rough it : 29' opened up, 22' closed. Full hardwall shower, porcelin marine flush toilet, everything you need and more. Two King beds, and sleeps 8-10. It is the largest tent trailer made.

Here's our V-10 gasser 362hp and 457tq, loaded with everything. I know it would boil the tires pulling the trailer, I just have to get the photo op. The truck is an '08 with 28,000 miles on it.

I had to post this one also. It is our favorite place to go to at 8500' altitude. 12-17" Rainbow trout are the normal there. I got lucky in taking this picture, and think it came out great.

How about a 1966 "El Camper"... Anybody ever see one of these?

haven't been camping in years. used to go all over with tents when I was a kid. when I went camping with my wife, this was her idea of roughing it...

I loved this thing but it did like the gas stations

I was going to restore this but someone had to have it way worse than me, looking back I wish I would have kept it.

Beater, that is cool! but that has some serious rear overhang, bet the front end was really light causing steering joys!
