Pics sent to xplantdad. The late great chevy magazine this car was in was in 1985. I was going through the documents original owner sent. Man is it cool to see all that old paper work. we even have the paperwork when he was going to trade impala in on a new 65 Vette. he even sent a dealer promo car with the original box. I hope someone can find and post the Late Great Chevy article it's an interesting story. i would send it to somebody to post but the owner has it and he is out of town.

The story on the top is the original owner bought it new for his 62 Impala SS and he kept it for the 64 when he bought that. The blue book is his actual payment book showing the payments he made on the top. The loan docs for the top are there also.

What is that other steel line that seems to run down the backside of the motor for...is it hooked to that glass fuel filter..?? or am I looking at it wrong..??

very cool setup...would love to see pics of the car...my father had a 64 Impala...only problem it was a 283/powerglide station wagon [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/thumbsdown.gif[/img]

It's the return gas line, Chevrolet started putting those on the 409 motors in 1963

As a guide, public auction sales for 2011. 64 Impala SS 'verts sold for a low of $26,450 and the high sale was $42,450
