Thomas & Gene Rains were partners. Rains car was sponsored by Harrell & I think it had the same hood also.

You're exactly right w/ the Gibb/Hoss car Kim and great clarification on the Rains/Thomas connection too!.
So a good probability these flat stingers were 1'st and the 'Vette' style Camaro stinger hoods available later?.
