Cool - I get to build cars now! Ha, and people say Accountants can only do numbers!

That feature of the car needing to be in reverse to remove the key is just a great indication of a car that's probably had a decent, cared-for life without being monkey'ed around with too much, Verne. A few years ago, my 1970 GS Buick, Factory 4-Speed car had the same thing and it was new to me also. It's such an easy thing to just leave it off the car if you do any exhaust modifications, clutch replacement, or Hurst shifter replacement. I thought it was pretty neat actually but I'd really hate to have to try to dig that stuff up to re-install if it was missing from a car!

Hi Mark,
I would agree with you. Not only did Day-2 mean the addition of a lot of parts; it also meant the removal of some. This car has 46Kmi on it and lots of original well cared for pieces. We're looking forward to a reasonably warm Sunday later this month when he'll bring it down here. He's a little nervous about the front spolier. The original got broken and had to be replaced (hard to find) so we're going to see if it can be removed easily and only used for shows. Verne |

Well, the day finally came and Larry brought down the car for me to see and test drive. One correction about the engine. It is a CE block replaced under warranty. Here are some photos.
![]() ![]() ![]() Excuse the disconnected gas pedal. This was after my test drive and a hard right foot. ![]() ![]() ![]() The car runs great. Very "user-friendly" for normal driving but with the punch on command. Verne [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/ ![]() |

This a Los Angeles built car, which I'm told has some unique features, such as a smaller gas tank, the evaporative emissions system with a return line to the tank, and the benefit of build sheets. This car has solid documemtation.
![]() ![]() ![]() He also wanted me to ask the professors here if this was the origial gas cap for this CA car. ![]() ![]() Any comments regarding correctness would be appreciated. He wants to strive to make sure everything is as it should be. Thanks Verne |

He has it mounted on a display board so I wasn't able to examine both sides.

Yes, it does.It was explained to me when I bought the car that a new POP was issued when the block was replaced in 1971
