I try to avoid PayPal. If someone insist on it, I have them pay the fees associated with it. Cashiers check and money order work great for me. Guaranteed funds and the sender has some recourse.

The $.25 flat fee is nice, but it's setup to be used within the social networks (think Facebook, Twitter, etc) and mobile platforms.

An Iowa guy created it, and has been ramping up funding the last couple of years to get it rolling...here's a good read with more details.
