I am sorry if this is a dumb question but are the 65 Corvette 396, 69 Camaro 396 open element or with cowl induction use the same black air cleaner lid? I have a friend that is looking for one and was asked this but I did know for sure. Thanks in advance.

I think originally 1965-66 396 Vette & 67 396 Camaro shared the same lid be it chrome or black,part#6422356.

	Then lid #6421832 came into effect and was offered on 1966-68 Corvette & Impala w/327 & 427cid.,1969 Impala w/Spcl.Hi-Perf 427cid.and 67-69 Camaro w/396 & 427cid..be it chrome or black. |

Rick, if the part number changed then did the lid change in configuration?

That was usually what happened w/their parts in the past, but sometimes something as lil as a cosmetic change would even garnish a new assigned number I've noticed, while other times not.

I don't know if that was the case here. |
