Rick, I'd sure like too know what GROUND UP sent you, relative to my above picture.

The Camaro owners would be ecstatic, if somebody was repopping the ORIGINAL 1st design lug nuts.

I do not know when G.M. changed over to 2nd design on this lug nut, keeping same part number.

I also would like to buy any survivor lug nuts someone might have...(After Rick of course)

Thanks,

Unfortunately they are the second design but the best I have found so far.

I checked my stash. I have several sets of the newer style lug nuts.
My 1998 Airstream trailer also used lug nuts with SS caps on it. I replaced them this summer but still have them so I will check to see what style they were.

As owners, tire stores destroyed the stainless steel jackets with impact wrenches, etc, it is quite rare to find originals that survived. I would imagine even the wrecking yards back in the day, tossed these in with the scrap after removing wheels.

At the Muscle Car Nationals LOOK at the Lug Nuts on Charlie's Z and the Black/Stripe Delete COPO Z. (Both unusual rare,70 Z-28's, 1st time displayed at any major show)

Just my .02

I was at the salvage yard other day and found a bunch of the second design style (in very good condition) laying on the ground. Naturally, I picked em up and put em in my pocket.
These are same style that came on later camaro's like my 80 with rally wheels.
