[ QUOTE ]
snip . This is another well equipped L78 convert, and the only option added from how it left the factory is the addition of spoilers. Yes no gauges (orig owner added his own), but a rear defogger and a host of others...go figure [/ QUOTE ] I bought an L78 69 Camaro convertible from the original owner back in 75. It was a STRIPPER, so much so the salesman at the dealer felt sorry(?) for him and "added" mats, a console and one other option. The original owner/buyer that ordered it said he only wanted the most powerful convert he could buy for the least amount of money ... but it too had a rear defogger when it was delivered. He said he was not going to pay for any of the extras as he had ordered it with NONE and he stood his ground. The dealer "gave" him the options. When I say NO options that means it was the most basic L78 convert: NO power steering NO power top NO radio NO tinted/EZEye windows NO spoilers NO positraction dog dish hub caps a THREE speed manual trans His logic was that it had all that power he wouldn't need extra gears ... odd that two L78 converts would have the unusual rear window defog anyone know of where the one I used to own is? Last seen on Woodward Avenue near Long Lake Road, the person we sold it to was a parking valet at one of the foo-foo restaurants in Bloomfield Hills and we sold it back in 75 or 76 ... white, white top, white standard interior, white wheels with dog dish caps
