Goodyear Polysteel, if I remember correctly, Bill. I bet those are fun to find used. I'd love a picture of what looks like the original spare. There's an X code '72 HO here in Austin. No sunroof, but a very nice car. The only X code available in a Cutlass Supreme coupe. No doubt that it's an original HO. That car brings back so many memories.

Don,

Glad to see that the car looks as good as you described!!! Plan on the H/O national event at Indy in August!! I have talked with John Kelsey about those Polysteels and the likelyhood of those being reproduced are really low! Looks like you need need some Chrome trumpets on the exhaust. Contact Supercars Unlimited Great supplier of stuff. Or contact Fusick Another great supplier. Congrats on that sweet ride!!!

The car, after clean-up will be a driver for local cruises and shows. I'm also considering driving it on next years power tour.

-----Man,,,What a nice original Oldsmobubble. That thing would look cool with the G60 Goodyears back on the rims........Bill S

[/ QUOTE ]

Those G60 look nice but they were an awfull tire. Most suffered belt separation. Polysteels were used on a lot of 73 and 74 Mopar products and they ran as hard as steel.

I have a set of original G60 polysteels for my H/O ragtop. I have shown the car twice with them and install them only at the showfield.
