Excuse me, but didn't the Bears hire Marinello after the lions fired him, to be their defensive coordinator?
This is a guy who went 0 for 16 and had the 32nd ranked defense in a league with 32 teams. What were they thinking, that offense alone can win games? I think the Lions proved that theory might have some flaws in it. JMO

True but as a d-line coach he is good. He was the d-line coach for the tampa bay buc's for 10 years and coached Sapp and others. They led the leauge in sacks in many of those years. Granted we may not have that kind of talent, but we do have Tommie Harris who is a top d-line man when healthy and Alex Brown is not to shabby. So as a head coach Marinelli stinks, but as a d-line coach he has a great track record.

Was there anything wrong with Kyle Orton? I mean seriously, I know he's not a Brady or Manning, but we're talking about the Bears here! The Bears are NOT a passing team, so having a QB with a gun for an arm ain't gonna buy us much. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to have a Pro Bowl QB, but not at the cost of this deal.
