Wow...what a great event! Great pics! Tommy K & SCW, you guys did a great job on my old #44 Nova. Nice to see Rick Thayers car too. It's beautiful, Rick! Helen, glad you're enjoying #50...it was meant to be. Anne, I can imagine how proud Dennis would have been to have seen all those Gibb Novas together. John, your Matadore Red Nova is awesome...can I have it? I wish somebody who likes to show their cars had bought #3 instead of keeping it tucked away. Maybe some day it'll pop up again

Great show. sYc member's cars were incredible. Met some super members (including Helen Gibb!), but didn't get to meet many others. Two and a half days went very fast and when my son and I weren't looking at cars or parts, there was always someone with Z16 questions or comments.

I met two other real Z16 owners and many others with a "car like that" ranging from a '65 Chevelle SS to a red something or other! I had several ask if the unrestored junker was for sale. I said "no", but in hindsight I'm just sure I could have gotten $1500.00 if I tried. I guess I'm stuck with it, now.

Thanks especially to Bob (Belair) and Tom Clary (as usual, for everything he does for the sYc). It has been a busy week since I was on the road delivering Miner Mfg product (incoming $$) and dragging home a 10k mile 67 L78 Camaro which is unbelievably preserved (outgoing $$). I justified the Camaro since the #1 Z16 is selling at Russo and Steele in January. After all, just how many Z16s does one need?

Dave..........Here's a Z16 Story for you, back in 1965, one of my friends was in the market for a newer car.....we lived in Chicago near Wrigley Field......so we went to Nicky, went to Mr. Norm's ( Just think about that)and he couldn't find anything that caught his eye......so, in reading the Sunday paper we seen that there was one of those "Goofy" Z16 Chevelles for sale in Skokie.....we called and went to look at it, it was owned by a old guy, he was probably about 25, I was 19 at the time and my Freind was 21......anyhow......it was a Red car just like the pic's on your site ( maybe the same car)with 1500 miles on it, he was selling the car because he was getting married and couldn't afford the payments and wanted to get something that would have smaller monthly payments......we went for a ride and spent an hour dealing with the guy......he wanted $4000 for the car and my friend offered $3700........the seller wouldn't budge on the price so we left.....on the way back home we were laughing because he was trying to Screw us by asking that ridiculous price for the car...........Any how we went back to Mr. Norms and he bought a Maroon 4 Speed "Street Ram"......
Man!!!!.........I was Lucky to grow up thru the Greatest Time in Automotive History........But .....sometimes we don't appreciate things until they are gone and we can't have them anymore.........

Ken (Trying to make up for lost time)
