Remember, this was a DANA conversion from a 350 AC car........

The car had a lot of odd mix and match items. Remember this was a 350 air automatic car. Another thing we seem to forget that these were just cars being built by kids and young men, not not unlike the owners themselves...BKH

If I remember correctly, the tranny tunnel was a little choppy from the 4 speed conversion. And the original set of Doug's headers didn't survive. Still cool in my book.

#69. This is another Douglass Yenko Camaro. It is one body number off the Douglass Yenko I posted earlier. This one was restored by the Supercar Workshop and was featured in the August 2008 issue of Muscle Car Review. It was also in Bob McClug's Yenko book and featured in and on the cover of Top Muscle. It currently is a part of the Brothers Collection and has the Yenko stripes applied to it.

#70. This Yenko Camaro was sold new at Van T. Chevrolet in Mission KS. It is 1 of 4 known Olympic Gold Yenko Camaros. I posted pictures of the one sold by Jack Douglass earlier. There is also the one in the Brothers Collection that was sold by Stauffer and then there's C. Ernst's magazine test car that was sold by Yenko. This car was restored by the Supercar Workshop and was featured in the June 2010 issue of Muscle Car Review. It was also pictured in Bob McClurg's Yenko book and American Muscle Supercars.

#71. This Yenko Camaro is an 01B car that was sold new at Jack Douglass Chevrolet in Hinsdale IL. If I remember the story correctly the original engine was destroyed when a rod decided to exit the block. After exiting the block it damaged the cross member. When the car was restored the cross member was left as is.

So without searching for an answer in this thread -- what is the hole in the cross member? Looks like it was simply chiseled out...
