The left front tire was flat and dryrotted, so I put a rim and tire I had from home.
Sorry Darren, I peeled the sidepipes off already. John Filson is abut 52 years old I think.

after Super Chevy, he hit the Top Sportsman circuit........
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() these are from World Of Wheels in '88 at McCormick Place ![]() ![]() John built this home made turnstyle for the show....it caused quite an uproar from the ISCA guys because John won the Best Display award....Whiners !!!!! after Johns death the following summer and Daves legal matter, the car ended up at Ron Folk Racecars where Dave kept alot of his muscle cars and thats where the car sits today.....in an old barn just sitting there. what a waste of ingenuity for the time... ![]() |

That '55 has some serious engine setback! I remember it back in the Eighties but didn't realize the engine was SO FAR back. I love it! I imagine the hood scoop is probably empty. I made it to EVERY Super Chevy Indy event back in the Eighties and remember looking at the unrestored '69 Yenko that is the main subject of this thread. I really like that Butternut Yellow Yenko and spent a lot of time looking at the car. It was great seeing the car still doing what it was built to do for it's entire life!
