Actually Kevin, the strikers should be Monaco Orange, and they will be some day. I didn't even want to put the strikers on yet, but if you don't have a way to latch the doors, it can get ugly fast, when you turn the rotisserie, for say, painting the bottom??

Good Answer. I was just bustin' your chops. Can't wait till my 70 convert is at that stage. Both quarters are ready to weld. Then the body comes off the frame for my winter project.

Thanks again for all the positive feedback. Been sanding and buffing. About 3/4 of the paint is buffed. Here's a shot of the finished tailgate. The top molding is due back from the polisher on Monday.

The tailgate if a fairly large hurdle, with all the components to it. It has 2 tone paint, several moldings, latches, emblems, three cover plates on the bed side and massive hinges.

Quick update: Got the body off the rotisserie, and back on the dolly. Also got it home from my buds body shop, where I did all the body/paint work. It's on the dolly because it's going out for the vinyl top and headliner, the 2 things I won't do. That should be done in a week or so. Then it's going back on the finished chassis. Thats always a big step forward. More pics of that in a couple weeks. Also started assembly: Dash, moldings, emblems, etc.
