Bill,

Who ever owns your former '71 SS Chevelle is one lucky guy.

Yea Dan, I'd like to see the 71 Chevelle back in my possession. That's a nice Chevelle, and someone offered me a boat load of cash for it........and I caved!!!

Been pretty on the busy on the Nova..... I got the seat belts out and dismantled them, cleaned um up, and reassembled/screwed them down.

I also got the front bumper, parking lights, brackets, ready to go back on the car.

I spent a lot of time getting the carpet down. The crappy repro carpets are a ball buster, but with a couple cans of spray glue, a heat gun and a lot of 4 letter words, it came out ok. Also got the back seat in.

Then there's the dash, steering column, radio, glove comp, and all the wireing to make it all work.....hopefully!!

I also got the rear bumper, brackets lights, license plate/fuel door etc done.

The last 2 projects are to get the nose back on the car, after repainting the insides black. Then the exhaust system, which is ordered and should be here in 3 weeks. Then the most nerve racking part, firing up the new motor.

Tom did more of a cosmetic restoration. He had the car painted and cleaned up under the hood.

I decided to completely change the drivetrain, add disc brakes, etc. I also wanted all the undercoating gone, which meant it had to go on the rotisserie.

I bought the Nova for a project, as a low milage survivor that already had all the body and paint work done.

I also replaced items that a normal person would have left, like the roof, bumpers, carpet, etc........

Working on these cars is not work. I'm not real good at sitting around, so it's good to have a project like this to keep busy.

I spent 3 hrs last night trying to figure out why the brake lights wouldn't work, after installing all new wire harnesses. The brake like switch had power, and worked, the bulbs were new, etc.....turned out to be the cheap chinese turn signal switch.

Next project, getting the nose out, and back on the car.
