John, I;m running the same heads I had on the first motor. Strikeforce alum head. My engine guy said they work, good for the money. Nothing done no port or polishing. Bolt on and go! Thanks The Dutchman

Yes I have heard very little about Strike Force. They are casting I think that a bunch of others use and sell under there own labels as well. They do seem to "work" well for what they are. I know where I am with my 074's and that might surprise more then some with the power we can make with them. BUT these are a bit more stable in the casting department

Benny, not sure if you know, that Strike Force head seems to be a Pro Comp casting that has been finished and sold by another company. Not a bad thing from what I have heard. I know of a few "head guys" and they said that the strike force head are Pro Comp heads but only the casting. They are sold under other names too, just don't have that info in front of me.
So I did happen to find a set of these heads used of a guy I trust, so giving them a shot on another engine I have sitting here. FYI they made 892 on a 565 motor. My motor is going down is size but up on Hp HOPEFULLY. Would like to put out 900+ (even 901 would be enough). So we will what they can do. Not going to be fast build, probably a year away as this motor is fifth in line, but motor 1 is almost done, and 2 isn't far off. Should have the other 2 done by summer then get onto this one. Looking to put MY '69 Nova into the 8's with Hyd cam and close to pump gas friendly 480" BBc. 9.5 is very do-able it's that other 1/2 a second that can be a pain! LOL Good luck. John P.S. what are you running for rear axle and wheel tires?

John, Strike force heads are marketed by a company called RPM. They are from the south. My tires on the rear are 9.00/850x15. Ford 9inch housing with 4;56 ratio. I leave the line at 1,800 RPM;s. I usually run in the low 1.50;s for a 60 foot time, but I do get into the 40;s. Come to the Reunion in aug and see the car, run! Thanks The Dutchman [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/

Maybe next year with my '69 - ZL-?? (ZL-1 OR ZLX) equip Nova SS. This year is busy as it is helping getting a new racing series going up here.
It's based on factory style muscle cars, sorta a looser version of F.A.S.T. We are looking at rules new, but things like OEM wheels aftermarket at +100 I think, and weights are like 3600 for BB and 3400 for SB. Going to be tire limited and MUST have a dual plane intake. Old might get a single but other then that, just show and run.

Update on the race car. I just got tubular A-arms for the front end. Also got a aluminum center section for the ford nine inch. Should take off about 45 lbs of weight. We;ll see what the first time shot brings? The Dutchman
