[ QUOTE ] ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Looks like Dave McDonald's car from the 1964 second-lap crash. [/ QUOTE ] Good eye, but I’m not sure which car this was - Dave Mc Donald driving one of the two Ford Thompsons crashed into the inside wall on the second lap sending a huge black plume of smoke into the air, Sachs hit the Thompson and exploded burning both drivers to death. Eddie Sachs drove the only Ford Hallibrand in the race ![]() Dave MacDonald’s Ford Thompson ![]() Thompson hitting the wall ![]() Then Sach’s hitting him ![]() ![]() ![]() - ![]() |

It's McDonald's car in the tow truck photo. Compare the dual exhaust pipes with the overhead pre-crash shot in color.

Is that a Fuel Injection emblem I see on the fender of the Pontiac? ![]() as ALWAYS, this thread RULES!!!! [/ QUOTE ] Sure is. That's one of about 600 57 Pontiac Bonnevilles made, all of them convertibles, all of them with Fuel Injection. As for the RHD Corvette, I bet the negative got flipped. It's hard to see all of the other cars and the street signs but I'll bet that's what happened.....

I ran the photo of the Corvette through a photo editor and flipped the picture. Yep, the negative was flipped, and it's not a RHD model.
Once I flipped the picture, you can easily read the "ONE WAY" street sign, the 427 emblem on the hood, and see a few of the other steering wheels in some of the other cars all on the left side. ![]()

the Cities Service sign in these two pictures...could that be the precursor sign to the present day Citgo sign that you see above the "Green Monster" at Fenway Park????? There are lots of pictures out there of the current Citgo sign (which, for those who have never seen it, is a totally different logo than the Cities Service sign in these pics) but have had a hard time finding any of the older Cities Service sign.
I can't see any of Fenway Park in either of these pics, but in the first one the sign on the bank building has "Boston" on it, so can i at least assume that these pics were taken in Boston? Also, there is a "Calso" (Standard Oil of California, aka Chevron) sign on one of the other buildings. i have seen pics from inside Fenway Park that show a Chevron sign, and others that show a Gulf Oil sign aboce the Green Monster.
