This car is why my dad raced Pontiacs -
He wanted a lightweight Ford but the factory rep kept stalling. Perhaps the fact that he was a die maker at Chevrolet played into that situation. When he couldn't get a Ford he went to see Dick Jesse at Royal Pontiac. They struck a deal and dad drove out with an aluminum package '63 SD Catalina.
