[ QUOTE ]
it should be against the law to "restore" cars like that

if you had 2 of the exact same cars, one "restored" and one like this one, the original will have people 3 deep stretching their necks to get a look at it while the "pretty" one will be all alone ...

[/ QUOTE ]

There is a possibility that we may be able to test this theory at the upcoming Chevy Vettefest.

Jeff beautiful car great history and good luck with restoration with the other Z16 you have. I noticed you have a 1966 L78 chevelle. I have a 1966 L78 short block if you know of anyone looking for one. If so you can PM me. thanks Joe

Sooo...how about resurrecting an old post!

I am very pleased to officially announce that Mr. Helms has agreed to head up our "show within a show" feature for the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals "Class of 1965" Invitational display this year.

We look forward to hosting what may be the best gathering ever of restored and unrestored 1965 Z16 Chevelles ever gathered under one roof.

If you own one of these very significant muscle cars, please let myself or Jeff know.

That thing is at the Charlotte meet all the time. Sits near the middle of the back stretch

I just love that car period. This is (to me) Chevrolets first muscle car and these cars were special built automobiles from the engine to the frame. As I mentioned to Jeff, when you're done with it let me know. Great car and a better owner/hobbyist. Thanks for organizing this special display....

I hope that car is NOT in "pre-restored condition". It deserves to stay just like that for the rest of it's life.

It most definitely will stay maintained in its current state! There are lots of them restored (relatively speaking), but not many like this one!

Thanks - Jeff
