![]() Great you got the GM Vintage Services paperwork and thanks for posting it! Seeing Courtesy Chev noted, was it dealer traded to Mander who then delivered it new to the original owner? And Courtesy was Jim Pattison which became Dueck in later years, correct...anyone? ~ Pete

Sweet ride Steve I`ve always liked the Elcamino`s and Ranchero`s one of my early cars was a 67 Ranchero 390 4speed car. I wish I never let that one go. I would love to attend a get together with my 67 Chevelle Mander car and possibly my Dick Irwin 71 Chevelle if I have it road worthy by the time this happens.

HI, I am the NEIL MURPHY that is in the MANDER SUPPER HUGGER ADD. Duke McIntyre was my new car sales manager. I went to work as a salesman with Mander in 1964 and because of my Mission racing background and technical expertise / muscle car passion, I became the go to salesman for the sale of our GM muscle cars and anything fast or exotic. Those were the days. When I think back at all the fun I had selling our GM muscle cars and getting payed for it, I would have payed Jim Mander for the once in a lifetime experience. Anyway I sold a tone of HP of the day before Jim Mander decided to retire and sell his dealership to Dick Irwin. Jim Mander was very progressive and would let us build or bring in some killer rides of the day. Many stories in my memory. My favorite has to be the 1969 COPO ZL1 Camaro that we got from the Fred Gibbs returned ZL1's and I remember that 2 went to some Toronto dealers I think. Anyway that ZL1 just about got me fired but that will be a story for another post. Anything Mander Chev Olds just ask me, I was there and part of it. |

Welcome aboard Neil and looking forward to whatever you can share of the glory years! Do you know if there was any Mander connection to the unknown Vin ZL1 that landed at Nurse Chev Whitby Ontario for George Eaton's Can-Am team to pilfer parts from if necessary while they were racing at Mosport? Also, any chance you saved any old Mander paperwork or know of any existing? ~ Pete
