A little boy was the sole survivor from the DC-8. Those were the days when the new jets would descend for landing at high speeds below 10,000 feet (speed limit below 10 now is 250 knots) and I think the DC-8 ran over the top of the Constellation, also approaching Idlewild (now Kennedy) for landing.

I love this thread, and was quite surprised to see my old W31 in it. You must have got that photo from my Flickr site.
Here's another photo of it with slotted mags. ![]() |

![]() - - [/ QUOTE ] That must have been the conversion lot for the 1969 Charger Daytonas. Look at the third car in the center and you'll see the flush rear window has been added with its accompanying bad body work but the regular front sheetmetal is still intact and no wing is installed yet. |

Also, look at the grills, it has the standard Charger nose, not the swapped-in Coronet grill. It's like cavemen and dinosaurs...they were not on the same planet at the same time. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() Are these photos both Ocean City, Maryland? Whatever they are, seems it's good odds that it's the same place at very different times... |
