The last half of page 210 is s little question marks and no pics for me. Is it like that for amyone else?

I love how so many of the pics have a cardboard fireplace! Must have been all the rage.

Boy, those Christmas pictures from the years past are priceless!!! Thanks to all who took the time to scan and share with us. The world sure has changed (some of the changes I'm still unsure about) since then. Everything seemed so pure and wholesome and the hatred and random killings that are happening today didn't occur (or weren't as common or publicized).
I feel a sort of "brotherhood" or some kind of "family bond" with a lot of the people who share the passion of this great collector car hobby. I don't want to sound weird or something, but the time, effort, money, and overall commitment we endure is sometimes only realized by our peers and hopefully their supporting family members or spouses. If only the rest of the world could somehow share a mutual respect for each other in some sort of fashion as we do, then maybe, just maybe, there could be some peace that isn't present now.
Enough for now----I really want to wish everyone here all the best for this holiday season and many more to come.
Stay safe and well, Dave Siltman.

Awesome pics. So many triggered similar memories from seeing those.
It kills me just to think what the Tonkas alone are worth today!
Where was the LCRA building at? Did you live down here at some point?
I was born and raised in and around Austin.

I was wondering about the LCRA building, is that in Austin? Thank you for the photos, I was a kid in the 60's and the pictures of the deco trees is a blast to see. We sure had some bad trees back then. I remember our silver one that rotated.

Yes -first begun in 1949, the elaborate displays were constructed early in December as LCRA’s seasonal gift to the people of their home town. The LCRA displays continued for many years, ending in 1969.

Check this out! found it online. Its Darin Stevens from Bewitched. One channel had a bewitched marathon on today and it was cool to see the cars change. In the episodes from 69 he had a blue 69 impala, and his parents had a red 69 ragtop. then in the 1970 episodes he had a (i think) misty turquoise ragtop impala, and also was driving a green 69 RS in one episode! Hilarious show.
