Not all that much has changes in the circa '65 Sunset Beach shot, the Douglas Gas station is now a used/consignment car lot, the building to the right is a Taco Surf, and Turc's Bar to the left is exactly the same. The water tower in the background was converted into a home 20 - 30 years ago, and has been pretty much on the real estate market perpetually since.

Bill,
There is a small motel on that side down the street next to an Italian restaurant. There are two others going north on the opposite side of the road closer to the bridge going over Anaheim Bay where the Navy has a large pier. Where this photo was taken from has changed significantly. It is called Peter's Landing with condos, shops, and a Starbuck's where the locals have small car shows on weekends. JB
