[/ QUOTE ] Looks mean! ![]() Brings back lots of memories. A highschool class mate came back from the Navy and bought a '68 L-78/M-22 Chevelle. That car didn't last long. Didn't stand up well to a 48" Oak Tree at the edge of the road on a foggy night. Killed two of the three guys in the car and the owner/driver lost a leg in the accident. Before he was back on his feet (no pun intended), he had ordered a '69 L-78 M-40 Nova. He took delivery before he could drive again so I spent a ton of time behind the wheel for him. Low option car with buckets but no console; F. Green with black guts. This car looks VERY similar. We've tried to track that car but are pretty well convinced it's now in a cube. ![]() Driving an L-78 Nova makes you grin a lot! ![]()

There's been a lot of banter about the "back in the day" look vrs the stock look, and I think part of the reason there's kind of a raw edge to the issue, is that a lot of us "geezers" lived the day. The cars, and the times, and the history at those moments have special meaning to a lot of us. It really isn't something that you can actually convey in a discussion. Mr.Cumby, I think you (we) should change the "we get it" to "you had to be there to understand". BTW very cool deuce.
