An update on the restoration. I have restored and painted the underside of the body, firewall, subframe, rear end, traction bars and lots of other undercarage parts. When disassembling the subframe I found the front shocks are Koni shocks. The date coats are 9 71. One of the rear shacks is a Koni too from 1971.

As far as the history, I have copies of all the past owners / titles going back to the factory where chevy built the car, then to Park Chevrolet, Motion performance and then to the 1st owner in Ahoskie, NC for $7415.38. The car has been here in NC ever since. Sorry the pics are upside down. Two of the pages of documents have Joel Rosen's signature.

I have the rear with the cool looking traction bars back in. I will add pics of that soon.

The 12 bolt rear has 4:11 gears and the date is older than the car. Same story with the trans. It's a turbo 400 with manual valve body and Auto / Stick Hurst shifter. I believe the stronger drivetrain was likely added at Motion as was the big block since they predate the car.

I did talk to Joel early on, several years ago. He just asked me if I want to have him document the car, which is expensive, and it's already documented from the 1972 paperwork I have. I asked him if he could tell me what options the car had but he just asked me again if I wanted the car documented or not. I have the feeling he doesn't have information on the options it was ordered with. It would be worth the money if he had a copy of the options for me.

Your paperwork is interesting. So the car was bought from motion, as they owned the car when new. I would like to understand the ordering process. Say i went to baldwin auto company and wanted a 67 camaro phase III. Did the complete purchase and delivery go thru baldwin auto co, or did i take delivery at motion performance and write out two payments for the car and conversion.

Good question. Baldwin Chevrolet was out of business by that time so Motion got cars from other dealerships. At that price it looks like the original owner paid Motion for the car with the mods. I don't know if the car was optioned out by motion and put out for sale or if the original owner ordered the car from Motion Performance picking some extra options he wanted. My understanding is that Motion purchased the car from a dealership, converted it and sold it to the customer
