Default Re: 1969 power brake metering valve location

The valve (round in shape under the distribution block) you are referring to is a metering valve. All disc brake cars with drum rears have it. My understanding is that it provides pressure (preloads)the drums prior to pressure being applied to the disc brake to prevent the car from nose diving when the brakes are applied. Your car should have both valves.
