This reminds me of when a member on here had an amazing low mileage original 6 cyl Nova. Everyone was telling him not to drop in a 427 and day 2 the car but no one wanted to step up to the plate and buy the car.

I agree this Camaro is a beautiful original car but who wants a Camaro with a 6 cyl??? Maybe Kevin Suydam can buy it for his collection to illustrate the other end of the muscle car horsepower spectrum!!!

What do any of you think this car should be worth??? Perhaps someone should buy the car and give it some real horsepower!! White 427 convertible would be quite cool!!!!

I think that is the current owners plan. I personally would consider starting with this car as a basis if I would building a prostreet convertible. Its a very solid basis and much of the build cost could be offset with the sale of the original parts off the car. Don't get me wrong, I understand the butchering side of the argument as well. Check out the other auctions. They look like they build a wicked 69. Would you rather the guy start with this car or a rusty RS/SS big block vert?

Looks like these parts were auctioned before without meeting reserve. Ended Auction

I'd rather he started with a clone then this car or a rusty rsss You have guys building clones with fake #'s ,tag ,paperwork etc and then you have guys taking #'s match ss or z28 and pro touring them why do they not just switch cars ?

My apologies.. didn't realize it went to a good home!!! Hopefully the white Camaro convertible has the same fate and not some 22 inch rims!!!

Funny how things come full circle. I remember decades ago the antique car guys and hot rodders were at odds over the rodders chopping and modifiying nice orig '20, '30s and '40's aniques and classics.

Who ever thought the same thing would happen with Camaros??!!!

The car was priced - it'll cost someone $59,500 to save it. Granted, it's high for a 6 Cylinder convertible, but how many 1 owner/P-O-P cars are left. Sure wish it'd get saved, I just cant afford to be the one to step up...
