Whatever happened to the 69 Camaro I think was in Wisconsin in some guys back yard rotting? I think it was green, but it's been awhile since I read about it. It was sunk into the ground and at the time the guy did not want to sell.

I heard a recent rumor that it is being restored now.

I may be alone in this thought, but I think the car is sorta cool in its weathered and "left for dead" condition... Don't get me wrong, its sad it got to this point, and it should be put inside to prevent further decay, but I think I'd actually enjoy looking around this car the way it looks right now than i would if it was fully restored like all the rest. I've never seen the car in anything but photos, but have spent literally hours looking at the various pics of the car that are floating around. Would be cool to have it at SCR just as it is at least once... THEN restore it.

I'm headed that way on Monday. I'll stop by and see what the story is, or at least see if the car is still there.
Last time I drove past 10 months or so ago, the car was moved, but still tarped in the back yard. Will try to get some pics if possible. Blair

Joe I agree...I always said I 'd like to see these cars at the reunion. The unrestored cars are a treat for sure.I'd usually walk over a thousand restored cars to get to a beater....Don't get me wrong, restored is fantastic,as long as it's done correctly..And for this to happen we NEED to see these cars..

I also love "supercar beaters". If I owned that car I would seriously try to get it running and drive it for a summer or two just like that! Sure as hell would be a conversation piece!
