("Corsair II" since the first Corsair was the F4U WWII-era bird. Actually, there was a Vought Corsair biplane in the '30s but we'll leave that for another time!) Since he's shooting aircraft carriers they're probably Navy birds but the USAF used A-7s as well. I got my "good eye" watching planes as a kid and it came in handy later on when I was a KC-135 tanker pilot and had to spot those dudes way out as they approached for a refill. (I wasn't a C-student for no reason! Had my nose buried in airplane books and car magazines.)
