As a matter of fact, a friend of mine owns the camaro that was in Aloha Bobby and Rose. Once in a while he even drives it. He brought it to work one day and I checked it over pretty good. Traco had built the motor long ago. I would have thought that it would have had a GM cross-ram but it now runs 8 webers. Cam is pretty radical as it hardly idles. Lots of old school race car stuff like fuel cell, roll bar etc. It is a little rough but he wants to leave it as original as possible. Looks like he put a cowl hood on it for that car show in S.F. He also owns the yellow duece coupe and a black hot rod that was in American Grafitti.

If any of you go see the movie "Luck Number Sleven" there is a scene at the begining were the characters flash back to 1970 or so . It is a funny scene because someone must have a friend in the muscle car business..in the parking lot where the scene takes place are what would be an inordinate amount of muscle cars even for 1970..all makes and models..great scene !
Pete, would love to hear your Kremer stories ! I had a couple of Kremer cars but I sold two and the other one was wrecked at Sebring a few years ago by my co driver/partner and needs a front clip. I now have a 935 M16 that I am getting ready for the Monterey Historic's in August. This car is very much like a K3 but the body was done by American International Racing/AIR in S. Cal . Here is a photo of my two Kremer cars at Daytona in 2000. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...e/scan0004.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...Race/prep1.jpg The black car finished 2nd over all at the Le mans 24 hour..it came to the IMSA series and was a Bob Akin Coca~Cola car..that is the livery it is in now.. My 935 M16 At the 24 hours of Daytona finishing 8th over all http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ACO/935acr.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ACO/1935ds.jpg and since you are in Canada 10th over all in the Molson 6 hour at Mosport ![]() http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/C...1-08-16-084.jpg Same car sponsored by Coca~Cola of Central America in the Central American Championship series http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/C...l-Kikos12sm.jpg This 935 also raced at Le Mans three times with a best finish of 2nd in class for the 24 hour race. Sorry didn't mean to get off topic.... here is the Yellow coupe and Harrison Ford's (talk about an oxymoron)black 55 Chevy from American Grafitti http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...DSC00166ss.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ilners3206.jpg

I hammered out a lengthy posting yesterday and got lost in the midst of the site problems....here's some of it. .
Ray....your comments of buddy's Aloha Boby/Rose car makes me wonder even more of it's history before the movie? . Again the flares appear the old road-racing style, now you mention a Traco engine, old cell and roll-bar....could it be an old Penske, Smokey or other Trans-Am car from this era and if so could have a much more significant history than the Aloha movie? . Van....I PM'd you on some Kremer Bros. stuff....included is a link to this Kremer 962 although the story I'll fill you in on later isn't a happy one. . http://www.racingsportscars.com/phot...-08-11-010.jpg ~ Pete

There is a scene in Bewitched where Samantha leaves some place with three of her friends and they proceed into the parking lot and stop to say goodbye or whatever and lined up behind them is the complete line of Chevy performance cars for 69, An SS/RS Camaro, Chevelle, Nova and Vette. . Very similar to the magazine ad showing all these cars lined up. I remember this distinctly, there has to be some crazed Bewithed fan that knows about it. SULLY

I saw that!
We have a small local channel station here,Channel 23,called ME TV. It stands for Memorable Entertainment Television. This is not on cable,it's standard antenna. They run 24/7,365 of old mothball TV shows like Hawaii Five-0,Bewitched,Hee Haw,Johhny Carson,Green Acres,Baretta,Starsky & Hutch...etc. You name it,they run it. ![]() That particular Bewitched episode came on last month, and I couldn't make a copy of it before it dissappeared. ![]() My favorites are any episode that use the current city streets/traffic for backdrops. |

Pete .. sounds good on the Kremer stuff.. I have supplied a lot of pictures for the Racing Sports Car site for Sears Point 1977-1987.. there are also a lot of very cool first gen Camaro , Vette ,etc. pictures from the earlier IMSA and SCCA races
Now that you mention it as I remember the interior on that Bobby and Rose car was very sparse and did resemble an old IMSA/Trans Am car.... Here are some from the VIR in 1972 ![]() http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...-04-16-035.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...-04-16-009.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...-04-16-062.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...-04-16-074.jpg
