Days Chevrolet in Ackworth, Georgia is a familiar name to us. The nice, original '67 Malibu that my wife drove for a few years was sold new there according to the original paperwork that came with the car. We e-mailed the dealership regarding the car but got no response.
Any dealership could do engine swaps if they were so inclined. Motion didn't have any corner on the engine swap market. They just had more ambition and interest than most as did Yenko and a few others. Not too many people were inclined to do an engine swap and lose their 5/50 warranty on top of the cost of the swap. For most of us it took most of what we had just to buy the cars in the first place.

[ QUOTE ]
It is possible the car is what the guy says it is. I was here during that time and the big dealer was Central Chev. on Peachtree in what is now Buchead. There were not that many chevy dealers in the area at that time. I would want to see concrete proof. BTW - Central was where I bought my 70 LT1 vette as it clattered off the truck (solid lifters). [/ QUOTE ] Great stuff...let's keep it going. I know there is more stories and pictures out there! ![]() ![]()
