Default Re: Title search back to '67, how is it done???

I am going to try the white page angle online if I can figure out how to access the sight for San-Diego, I know a State Patrol up here, I will approach him, But I was told they track what the officers of the law do in the systems these days and they probably dont want to lose there job over a favor, That cant be exsplained easily to there boss, I dont think chasing information across county can be exsplained easily, I will get back if I find a angle that is helpful. I am waiting for belair to get back with me on how to hit the white pages,

Thnx for the info guys, Bud. I love this gears Guy!

Ron is right, I just got back a title search from Maryland, they actually give you too much info! They also relayed to me that there were two more titled owners on this particular car, but since I only paid for one - they only sent one. I just go to the individual state's DMV page, look for title info section, and download the proper form through Adobe Acrobat. I have found that mailing a personal check vs. a US postal money order provides better results.

Ron
I did have the DMV run a title search,but they tell me,and I also talked to a supervisor there,that they only have the capabilities to go back to 1984.In which is in fact what they did for my $15.00.I will pursue a couple more angles on the NICB area and see what I can come up with.Thanks a lot for the information,I am very PIG headed so my Misses says, so as we say here in Texas,I Ain't giving up yet!And by the way Ron be SAFE out there Protecting us citizens from the elements!

Thanks

What does NICB stand for? I have been a insurance agent for 30 years and never heard of it. Kim

Kim;
I think it means National Insurance Crime Bureau. It's a private organization that is not connected to the government, the big three automakers or the insurance industry. I believe they provide info to the insurance provider when a car gets stolen.
