They were incompatible options, GM did not like to install AC on solid lifter cars. They did on the 365 horse 64 and 65 Corvette and again with the 72 LT1 engine. The LT1 had a reduced red line to prevent damage to the AC compressor.
A high reving big block would tear one of these compressors up. |

I like a good mystery. Until someone gets the better pic look at this one. I believe it does have the AC plenum valve plate. Greg

whats with the shade of red?? dosnt look like garnet red to me. maybe a special paint car?
